Director, Procurement

Seneca Resources Corporation, the oil & gas exploration and production subsidiary of National Fuel Gas Company (NYSE: NFG), is currently seeking a Director, Procurement at its Corporate office in Pittsburgh, PA. 

The Director, Procurement will serve as an integral member of the Corporate Executive team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

Develop strategy to set the direction of Seneca’s Procurement and Supply Chain Management to include the following:

• Align and reorganize the purchasing, sourcing and procurement functions.
• Manage the annual spending across the corporation and all divisions.
• Drive consistency in sourcing and contracting practices, streamlining current sourcing processes to leverage resources.
• Upgrade the competency of the organization, assess and update investment recovery practices to insure all residual value is captured, meeting diversity targets, and increasing the overall value of the group
• Define and implement consistent savings methodologies and reports.
• Formalize procurement processes to insure consistent application of best business practices.
• Implement a procurement competency model and skills assessment to create a professional development program to improve the overall competency of the team.
• Leverage electronic systems to streamline current processes and activities.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a Master’s level degree desirable along with 15 years experience in procurement, supply chain management and purchasing experience.  Experience in a leadership role (minimum of 5 years) along with experience in the energy or oil and gas industry is desired.
