Manager, Accounting

Seneca Resources Corporation, the oil & gas exploration and production subsidiary of National Fuel Gas Company (NYSE: NFG), is currently seeking a Manager, Accounting at its East Division office in Pittsburgh, PA.

The Manager, Accounting will serve as an integral member of the Accounting team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

Responsible for the preparation of the East Division financial and management reports and procedures

Development and maintenance of the budgeting and accounting system

Responsible for the analysis and interpretation of financial results and reporting of them to Sr. Management

Supervise and train accounting staff

Review and approve control environment and the documentation of procedures and controls

Ensure the accuracy and contract compliance of joint venture accounting

Review and report statistical data that is required for the SEC reporting to SRC Corporate.  Work closely with corporate SRC accounting to improve disclosure process and reporting

This position requires a B.S. in Accounting and 10 to 15 years overall experience with at least 5 to 7 years of experience within the E&P industry along with the following:

 • Experience with Quorum Oil & Gas software preferred but not required

• Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley preferred but not required

• Good interpersonal communication skills

• Attention to detail essential

• Ability to be flexible and work in a team environment.
