Sr. Production Engineer  

An oil & gas E&P company is looking for a Sr. Production Engineer for its Pittsburgh, PA office.

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include surveillance and evaluation of producing wells. Planning and designing production, artificial lift, and other well operations to optimize performance. Will have to write procedures, perform trend analyses, and prepare forecasts and budgets as needed and report findings to management. Individual will need to be able to identify underperforming wells and recommend appropriate action for optimized performance. Will need to identify and document best practices for production of horizontal gas wells. Communicate with field personnel to track suggested projects and partners concerning operational issues. Will have to track capital expenditures and LOE as well ensure all regulatory, environmental and safety issues are met.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or like field, along with 5 to 7 years industry experience is required. Ideal candidate will have Marcellus shale experience as well as experience with completions and fracking. Ideal candidate will have good interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail.  Candidate must have the ability to work in the field in inclement weather.
