Sr. Reservoir Planning Engineer

An oil & gas E&P company is looking for a Sr. Reservoir Planning Engineer for its Pittsburgh, PA office.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include coordinating the development and financial activities of teams. Individual will also be required to prepare and analyze business plans, production forecasts, economic evaluations, expense forecasts, AFE preparation, as well as capital requirements. Must be able to work with geophysicists and geologists to relate characteristics of the play to reservoir quality. Ideal candidate will be able to run the project evaluation process including scope, critical path as well as identification of bottle necks, tracking, resource requirements, etc. Must be a user of ARIES as well as be familiar with reservoir modeling and simulation. Must be familiar with petrophysics and  log analysis as well have a sold understanding of unconventional shale characterization.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or like field, along with 5 to 7 years of reservoir engineering experience is required. Ideal candidate will be a team player with good interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail. Also must have a strong business background with familiarity of key financial measures. Must have the ability to work in inclement weather.
