The event takes place Tuesday and Wednesday, February 7-8, at Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Champion, and you won’t want to miss it.
The first day will include updates on Marcellus Shale impact fee legislation, the newly enacted pipeline safety bill, Allegheny National Forest litigation, Public Utility Commission regulation of midstream pipelines, and municipal ordinances and litigation. Speakers also will address the impact of natural gas vehicles on the exploration and production sector, pipelines and processing, and mergers and acquisitions.
Mason Ender of Bentek Energy will deliver the after-dinner keynote address, "Why Can't We Just Go Back to 2008?" Rounding out the day will be live entertainment by Pittsburgh’s Angel Blue and the Prophets Band.
Wednesday general session presenters will discussion spill prevention, wetland and stream mitigation, water testing, Department of Environmental Protection enforcement, best management practices for liners, and water management planning.
Concurrent technical sessions will run on Tuesday afternoon and all day Wednesday. A sampling of topics includes air regulations, gas migration, deepest freshwater determination, master service agreements, document management, basic safety training and federal tax issues. A detailed agenda can be found in the event brochure.
If you want to take advantage of some of Seven Springs’ recreational opportunities, the facility is offering discounts on lift tickets, rentals and lessons from Sunday through Wednesday. Sporting clays will be available on Monday, weather permitting.
