This is a 1 day professional development course. The course will include a review of soil science, soil terminology, soil formation/translocation/transformations, horizonation, texture, consistency, and other physical properties. The objective of this course is to provided an introduction to soil morphology and classification and a refresher to the professional. The course is half-day lecture and half-day in the field reviewing and interpreting soil test pits.
The course is taught by Mr. Brian Oram, Professional Geologist and Soil Scientist with B.F. Environmental Consultants and this course is taught through the Wilkes University continuing education program.
