Who We Are

The Pennsylvania Independent Oil & Gas Association (PIOGA), historically the principal nonprofit trade association representing Pennsylvania’s independent crude oil and natural gas producers, marketers, service companies and related businesses, continues to expand its focus as it embraces the entire oil and gas spectrum, from upstream through midstream and downstream entities. As tremendous success in accessing Marcellus and Utica reserves has dramatically increased supply with a resulting sharp decline in commodity prices, PIOGA has broadened its emphasis to seek expanded markets and additional uses for natural gas and related products. This has led to an expansion of PIOGA’s focus to more fully include pipeline operators and end-users such as power generation, industrial, and manufacturing consumers of methane, ethane and related commodity products. Working together, we help members accomplish that which they cannot achieve alone.
