Despite the weather challenges of winter storm Titan, 11 PIOGA members and staff joined over 100 oil and gas representatives from across the country for the annual IPAA Congressional Call-Up in Washington D.C.  Of the 122 congressional meetings that were scheduled, PIOGA members and the staff met with 16 Congressmen and both Senators Casey and Toomey.

The meetings provided us important face time with the legislators and their staff to continue our efforts to educated them on the key federal issues facing the oil and gas industry such as tax, expanding exports for market growth and the continued struggle with overregulation from multiple state and federal agencies.  Another key area of discussion was the differences between the legacy conventional producers and the shale producers and the important distinctions between their operations and impacts.
